Sophie's Squad is a non-profit organization that aims to improve the mental health of athletes from youth to college. The organization was founded in 2021 with the mission of raising awareness of mental health issues and removing the stigma associated with seeking help.

Our logo
At Sophie's Squad, we take athlete mental health awareness seriously, and our logo reflects that commitment. Our logo was carefully designed to represent our mission of promoting mental wellness in the athletic community. We chose teal and purple as our color brand because they were Sophie's favorite colors, these colors are also widely recognized as symbols of mental health in community health education circles. Our ultimate goal is to have teams host #Hockeyhitsback games to raise awareness for mental health issues. If you take a closer look at our logo, you'll notice the number six in the brain portion. This number represents Sophie's number and serves as a reminder that all athletes deserve support for their mental health. Join us in spreading awareness and promoting positive change in the athletic community!
Our history
Sophie's Squad was founded in 2021 with the goal of raising awareness for mental health issues and removing the stigma associated with seeking help for athletes. We recognize that athletes juggle a lot of things at once while playing the sport they love, and we want to be a support system to help them prioritize taking care of themselves, especially their mental health. Our mission is to bring athlete mental health awareness to friends, family, coaches, players, and the community at large in order to make a positive impact and change the narrative around mental health. By working together, we can create a culture that values mental wellness as much as physical fitness in the athletic community.
