I think it’s really important to be able to talk about mental health. No matter who you are or what your occupation may be, it’s okay to not be okay. I read a quote awhile back from a successful hockey college and now pro hockey player that said she never felt like she could talk to someone when she was struggling because she felt she didn’t have a good enough reason. But the truth is, your life can be so beautiful and have so much love in it, and you can still be suffering. And that shouldn’t be something anyone thinks they need to hide. That really resonated with me, and it’s why mental health advocacy is important to me!
